These are very useful for light weight necklaces. Especially good if someone finds very small fasteners too fiddly

Such a simple device has made the world of difference to wearing the jewellery that I inherited from my mother. All with fiddly old fashioned clasps. My fingers are not small and nimble. Now I can just pop on a necklace without even looking in the mirror. The same applies to bracelets with awkward clasps.

Used a set of these on an extremely fine chained necklace displaying an owl with wings open or closed ( depending on how chain threaded through) The actual existing fastener is so tiny it takes an age to try and fasten-gave up last time in frustration -there’s more to life!! Discovered these in the Pia brochure and thanked my lucky stars - just the job! Problem solved.

Have attached this to a very fine gold chain with very small clasp. It looks ok and magnet appears to be quite strong. The only thing I would say, and that is why I've knocked a star off, is that in my case the necklace has great sentimental value and I would hate to accidentally tug my chain and pull it apart and that is why a small safety chain would be beneficial. As one gets older our fingers and thumbs become just that and managing fine/small clasps difficult, this makes things much easier.
